Community in Motion Initiatives

The Patricia A Tomson Center for Violence Prevention (PATCVP) at the University of Northern Iowa established the Community in Motion initiative as a vehicle for supporting and promoting public health and education-based initiatives in Iowa that serve to reduce and eliminate interpersonal violence, gun violence, bullying and discrimination.

We hope that the Community in Motion initiative will help to engage, train and support community members and professionals. This site serves as a vehicle to learn more about violence prevention, and includes projects, programs, trainings and campaigns focused on creating safer, violence-free communities.  We invite you to be a part of this change!
