Community in Motion Initiatives
The Patricia A Tomson Center for Violence Prevention (PATCVP) at the University of Northern Iowa established the Community in Motion initiative as a vehicle for supporting and promoting public health and education-based initiatives in Iowa that serve to reduce and eliminate gender-based violence, gun violence, bullying and discrimination.
We hope that the Community in Motion initiative will help to engage, train and support community members and professionals. This site serves as a vehicle to learn more about violence prevention, and includes projects, programs, trainings and campaigns focused on creating safer, violence-free communities. We invite you to be a part of this change!
